2020-21 has been a year like no other.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of Early Literacy Teachers in both the classroom and intervention settings.  Teachers have had to constantly renegotiate their daily practices, 'pivoting' to meet the changing needs in their buildings.

To recognize the hard work and dedication of its membership, all current MELIT members were presented with a small token of appreciation this past spring.
